4 Months Old!

Yesterday Ethan turned 4 months old. I can't believe 4 months has passed by already since this little guy came into our lives! It seems like just a few weeks ago we were waiting for me to go into labor. He is such a cute and sweet little boy. He is going to have is daddy's personality. A mischievous sweetheart!

This little boy is getting so chubby. Just yesterday, Travis and I were looking back on photos from when he was born. He weighed only 6 lbs. I forgot that all of his clothes were so baggy. His arms were to skinny and his whole body just looked so fragile.

So tiny!

Developments!

Ethan does so good on his tummy. He is so close to rolling over! I love when he does tummy time because his little feet go all over the place and his little bum is in the air. My cutie! He only stays on his tummy for a few minutes at a time. He gets so mad sometimes. He is getting better at keeping his cool lately. But when he gets mad, all havoc breaks loose!

When I am not paying attention to him he likes to yell. Not a "I'm so mad!" yell but a "hey! look at me!" yell. It cracks me up. As soon as I start paying attention to him he immediately starts smile and gets so happy. He is the happiest baby I have ever seen!

Something new that he has starting doing in the last week is noticing his hands. Every morning when he wakes up, I go into his room to get him and he will hold up his hands and just stare at them. He will bring them close and have a very investigating look on his face, and then he moves the back away from his face and looks even more confused. He loves to look at his hands and I think he is so cute when he is looking at them. He is constantly learning something new. I love that I can see all of his new developments.

He loves to sit up. He can't do it on his own just yet so we got him a chair to help him learn to sit on his own. He loves it! I think he loves the new perspective on everything he can see. He will sit in it and play with his toys and be so content.

We love this little goofball so much! He brings so much joy and love into our lives. He has such a funny personality and I know he is going to be a handful when he gets older.

A Very Loud Baby!

Our little boy is going to be 4 months old in one week! I can't believe it! He has already doubled his weight and is continuing to grow so fast. He has lots of little fat rolls that I just can't stop pinching! When he was born he weighed only 6 lbs. The doctors then informed us a day later that he had lost a lot of weight and only weighed 4 lbs 12 oz.(Turned out that they weighed him wrong and he really weighed 5 lbs 12oz.) We were shocked and worried out of our minds. Apparently we thought he was eating, but he wasn't. He kept falling asleep and I just thought he was getting enough to eat. I guess he just liked sleeping more than he liked eating.

He has such a fun personality and I think he is going to be a lot like his dad. Lately he is very loud and talkative. I love it! He will laugh and giggle to things we do. He is getting so good at staying vocal. I think he loves attention because every time I am on my computer he will start yelling. When I come down to his level he smile and giggles, like he is saying, "Haha Mom! I got you to pay attention to me!" I love this little boy and everything he is becoming.

The past few weeks I have been obsessed with making cupcakes. I get such big cravings for them and then when I make them I only seem to want one or two. I think I enjoy making them more than I enjoy eating them. Which is weird because usually I can eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! What's wrong with me?? I just have to keep telling myself that it is better this way! Haha.

We Have Everything!

On Monday we decided to get the last of our items for our little boy. He is going to be here in less than two weeks (well, that is when his due date is), so we figured we better get the last of his things so we are ready and not running around last minute. When we started this whole getting prepared for Ethan (baby's name), we came up with a list of all the items we needed and put an estimate price next to each item. Hooray for budgeting!  Then we broke down the categories and decided we would buy a category every week. It actually worked out pretty good.

We are storing everything on our huge diaper changing table. Our pack and play has a changing table so we put this one to good use for now!

We were able to stock up a bit on diapers in multiple sizes and wipes and spend a little extra on clothes and toys. It is so stressful going shopping to buy baby things because of the expense. Even if you are only getting a few items you still manage to spend at least $50-60 on each trip. And it's only going to get more expensive from here on out. But it is an expense that is so worth it! So, I can officially say we have everything we need! ... at least that I know of! I am 1 week and 3 days from my due date and we are ready for this little guy to get here!

Being Pregnant... I Cant Stop Organizing!

When I think about this baby coming very soon I want everything to be perfect in our home. I cannot stop organizing my cabinets and finding ways to make Ethan's corner more comfy and cozy. I made a few items over my pregnancy that I have put up on the walls. And then if I dont like that look i'll change it with something else.
We recently got a printer which has opened new doors for decorating. I bought some frames at our local thrift store and painted it grey and printed out this cute little owl to put in the frame. I love it! I was going to do a set of three owls but decided that simple is better. If you didn't know yet the theme I choose for his corner in our room is owls, yellow, and grey.

Our bedroom has seen some decor improvements as well. I used our wonderful printer and printed out some pictures of Travis and I and put them on the mantel above our bed. And I finally put up the wording Travis bought me over a year ago. I waited til we were going to be in a place for a while. We signed our contract for another year hear in this apartment so I thought it was safe to put it up!
It makes our room feel more like a home!
I have gotten carried away with reorganizing our storage space, cabinets in the kitchen, and cleaning and scrubbing the bathroom. I kinda like the house being so clean. And if it starts to get messy, well, that doesnt last too long.
